September Rounds 7 and 8 Update
Firstly apologies for missing the weekly update blog for round 7, as mentioned previously baby was due and well, now baby is with us so i needed to dedicate some time there. Mother and baby are doing well so I can provide you with the updates you’ve no doubt been waiting for.
Round 7: 14th -17th
A quick update on round 7 – lets be honest it was so long ago i cannot remember what happened, apart from I made the perfect Substitutions – the 3 teams out lost and the 3 teams in won. We had a full round of fixtures and a decent goals return. Yeovil topped the charts thanks to a 6-0 drubbing away at Newport and they were the only team to score 5 or more that weekend.
Standings for Round: 7
After my perfect subs I topped the charts that round, and the Wife was in second, Gary Hardy and Mark Treadwell’s good month continued in Joint 3rd.
Andy Peasnall had a shocker propping the table up with 10 points. Last Seasons most consistent player Richard Taylor just 1 place and 10 points ahead.
September Round 4 – 21st-24th
Round 4 saw our first fixture postponement of the new season after a medical emergency at Barnsley (where they were hosting Burton) before kickoff. That leaves 57 games and another decent (if not spectacular) goals return.
Round 8 Team Scores
Man City demolished Cardiff away and Solihull scored 5 at home to Bromley to both earn 5 bonus points and share the top performing team accolade for this round. 3 other teams just missed out after scoring 4. The top 10 this round scored a combined 77; making it a maximum of 90 on offer this round.
Standings for Round: 8
Iolo Morgan-Jones had a flyer topping the charts with 63, whilst Gary Hardy had another brilliant weekend in 2nd 1 point back. Jamie Harris makes up the top 3 with 58.
Another poor week for Andy Peasnall with 15 at the bottom, 13 points behind David Farrington above.
Standings for September
After rounds 7 and 8 Gary Hardy has a healthy 20 point lead at the top. James Marchant in 2nd and Mark Treadwell a further 7 points back. We have an almost full round for round 9 so its still all to play for.
|24||Dela Van Lare||112|
No Surprise at the bottom after 2 poor rounds. 3 points separate the remaining 4 players at the bottom so a good weekend is needed to try and get out of that group.
Sep 28th to Oct 1st sees a full round of fixtures planned – so that’s 116 teams playing 58 games. As far as September is concerned there are 57 games left to play, with 1 fixture working towards October. Weekend starts with both Bristol City vs Aston Villa and Sheffield Weds vs Leeds on Friday 7.45 and finishes with Bournmouth vs Crystal Palace on Monday 8pm.
Entry for October is now OPEN. Please get you entries/changes in before 7.45pm on Monday 1st October if you wish to pick Bournmouth or Crystal Palace (Monday Nights Fixture). If you don’t fancy those teams then you have until 7.45 on Friday 5th to get your teams in. Its not too late to get involved so round up your mates, co workers so random strangers and challenge them to beat your score for October.
